Regarding the Pre-Festival Hoko Procession, the construction of the yamaboko floats has been underway since yesterday.

Along Shijo-dori Arcade from Kawaramachi-dori to Karasuma-dori, the music of “Konchikichin” is playing, heightening the excitement for the Gion Festival.

Now, during the upcoming three-day weekend on the 15th (Saturday) and 16th (Sunday), we have the eve of the Pre-Festival with Yoiyama and Yoiyoiyama.

During these two days, from 18:00 to 23:00, the area around Shijo-Karasuma will be pedestrian-only, and the roads around our hotel will be one-way pedestrian routes. Taxis and other vehicles will not be allowed, so please use public transportation to reach here.
