Before the full-fledged summer arrives: How about enjoying the fresh greenery of Ruriko-in?

The Golden Week of May has come to an end, and summer is approaching rapidly.

This time, we would like to introduce you to a temple recommended by our staff, which boasts beautiful fresh greenery.

It’s the Kyoto Head Temple of Muryoju Komyo-ji, known as ‘Ruriko-in.’

Location: 55 Kamitakano Higashiyama, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture

Ruriko-in is a temple located in the picturesque area of Yase in Kyoto, renowned for its beautiful gardens.

It’s open to the public for a limited period in spring, summer, and autumn, with the greenery period lasting until June 16th (Sunday).

From our location, you can reach it by transferring between the subway and bus, taking about 40 minutes.
